iphone 12 will be the latest Apple product which may releases this year. According to a new report by Nikkei Asian Review, Apple is forcing its suppliers to reduce production delays of its new first 5G iPhone 12 to limit the fallout caused by COVID-19.
As the company is facing a delay of approximately three months for mass production of 4 models of its 5G series which was delayed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Apple and its suppliers working overtime to make it happen without any further delay.
The new four iPhone 12 5G models will be in three sizes which are 5.4, 6.1, and 6.7 inches, the sources said.
The US company is expected to ship 184 million iPhones this year, a 4% decline from the year-ago because of COVID-19 hit. However, its rival companies Samsung and Huawei are expected to be more severely hit by a decline of 15% and 19% respectively.
The Apple company is based in California, where lockdown restrictions were made in March, however, the decision was revised in march and allow the businesses to reopen. Apple hardware development team returned to the office as the company has to analyse the final configuration for the new iPhones.
The company has also asked the suppliers to produce 84 million units of the old iPhone model, a move to protect the company in case of any delay to the new iPhone 12.
